My vote is for tyrant guard to have the same move as Tyrants, whatever they end up having.

I'd hope that'd be a given. Then again, I'm of the opinion that just setting the tyranid base move to 20cm would be best.

For the Hive Guard I think LV is ok. The gun at 30cm AP5+/AT5+. CC5+, FF5+, 4+ save and Brood. Movement should be 15cm unless we invoke the old Tyranid racial movement of 2nd Ed 40k and up all Tyranid units to 20cm base.

Alright, some stats for these guys:

Tyrant Guard

Code:
LV   20cm   5+   3+   -   Expendable, Fearless, Reinforced Armour
Scything Talons   (base contact)   Assault Weapons   -

They got the bump to 20cm to go along with the fex/tyrant, but otherwise their Zombo's stats.

Hive Guard

Code:
LV   15cm   4+   5+   5+   Brood
Impaler Cannon   30cm   AP5+/AT5+   Ignore Cover

I'm moving these guys to LV to match the other units that are similar in size.

Harpy

Code:
AV   35cm   5+   5+   5+   Brood, First Strike, Reinforced Armour, Skimmer
Twin Stranglethorn Cannon   30cm   AP3+   Disrupt
Spore Mine Cysts   15cm   1BP   Single Shot

Pretty much the Zombo's stats, but with First Strike on the unit to represent Sonic Screech rather than an extra FS FF attack.

The Hive Guard's Impaler Cannon should have Ignore Cover and/or No LOS needed.

I don`t think the Harpy (Lurker) should be Brood. It`s Ld10 and Fearless. Even the Trygon (Hunter) has only Ld8 with Fearless. Carnifex (Hunter) has only Ld7 with Fearless. Lictor (Lurker) is Ld10 only as it has NO Fearless.
To me the Harpy is firmly in the realm of Independent Creature.

Brood just refers to spawnability.

Given Epic's ground scale I don't think no LOS would work for the impaler. A spike traveling through 250+m of rock to take out a tank seems silly even for 40k fluff. On IC, units still get cover from it in 40k so long as the terrain is between them and the impaler, so I didn't think it was warranted.

Tau Smart Missile System works like that (ignore LoS in 40k) and they have ignore cover.

The spikes don't travel "through" the rock. They travel around it. They are pretty much biological Seeker Missiles. That's what's so special about the Impaler Cannon.

I understand that, I guess my point was I can think of terrain in Epic that they realistically shouldn't be able to go around, hence they will appear to go through it if we give them no LOS.

Then give them Ignore Cover as the closest approximation.
But really if a Thudd Gun/Seeker Missile can shoot over a big hill or other impenetrabel tall/broad terrain feature then the Impaler Cannon can it too.

I'd go with Ignore Cover.

Ignore cover I think would be suitable but would it compete with the Pyrovore a little too much. The Hive Guard have a better save, range and AT for the loss of AP4+ (on the Pyrovore) to AP5+ and the Pyrovores FF attack. The Hive Guard looks good with or without Ignore Cover.
