I appreciate all the ideas guys! Great food of thought.

As for multi-part models - I have found that at this scale, and metal, the fewest parts possible is the way to go. Multi-part works much better for plastics, where scale "squishing" and slight deformations aren't an issue.

Some changes - hexagon engines, sloped cockpit and windows, small wings on intakes, hexagon landing gear, pistons on sides of cannons - the rest hasn't been messed with.
