I like them, but I am not a big fan of lack of premeasuring, but that's just my opinion. Regarding multiple targets, I think the best solution is to make a special rule Multiple Targets allowing unit to shoot at number of different targets. Imo the Stress Tokens are a bit too similar to Blast Marke...

The End Phase - After every unit has been assigned an "Activated" token, the current turn ends. Before continuing into the next turn, carry out the following steps, which make up the “End Phase” between each turn. Check Victory Conditions : After each turn, check the scenario’s victory co...

Assaults - When a unit comes into base-to-base contact with an enemy unit, or it begins an action with at least one of it's models in close combat - an Assault is resolved. Assaults are terrifying and desperate affairs, where firearms are used at point blank range and savage close combat is fought ...

Proposed Simplification of Orders I'm thinking that orders can be simplified - especially if the action/reaction system is integrated as follows: Turns & Activations - Each game turn is divided into alternating activations between the players, followed by an End Phase once every unit in play ha...

One of the things I keep going back and forth on is allowing individual models to fire at different enemy units... Right now - if a model does not have line of sight to the target enemy unit, or it falls outside their weapon arc, it simply does not contribute to the dice pool... The problem would be...

Back to it - Onto Ballistic Combat. V. Ballistic Combat: Shooting Procedure - When a unit is issued an order that allows it to fire, it may target enemy units with ranged attacks. Note – Units may not target enemy models that are currently Engaged in close combat, unless they possess a trait that s...

Perception / Senses - Smell: Like it's other senses, this creature has a highly evolved sense of smell, and has three sets of Olfactory organs, each with a different function. Like their other organ sets, each can be opened or closed at will to isolate a single set, or multiple sets can be used in u...

Perception / Senses - Taste: The two sets of tentacles on this creature contain gustatory organs - or taste buds. This means that the creature basically "tastes" everything it comes into physical contact with. While this may sound abhorrent to humans - these creatures lack any sense of ave...

Perception / Senses - Hearing: This creatures sense of hearing is also incredibly developed. Like their eyes, they have 3 sets of auditory organs. Their audible frequency range is much broader than that of a human - or any creature on the Earth for that matter. In addition - each set of auditory org...

Thanks guys :) Perception / Senses - Sight: These creatures possess a highly evolved set of sensory organs. They have 3 sets of eyes, with each sensitive to a different wavelength of the electromagnetic spectrum - this includes all light from ultraviolet to infrared, xrays, and radio / microwaves. E...

Hello Taccom peeps, I'm planning on releasing a ruleset and possibly a starter set in the fall/winter. I've been thinking hard about the Onslaught universe, and the "feel" it should have. One major part of any sci-fi setting are all the cool alien races running around - how they look, thei...

Bertnernie - I think I like it quite a bit too. Reactions will - I believe make combat seem more dynamic, but also give advantages to being aggressive (Actions are more effective in general than reactions). You can also use them to "bait" enemy units in you activate your units in a cleaver...
