As one of those die hard long-time players, I definitely do not want to see this rule changed and I especially do not want to see any 40K system of rules introduced. 40K has, relative to Epic, very clunky and complex rules which I would strongly advise us never to emulate. The current rule as it sta...

That's a fantastic resource, thank you for putting it together. It's making me all nostalgic for when I used to play Space Marine regularly throughout the 1990s and the early 2000s. Thank you for sharing this with us and I will be sure to read through as many of the reports as I can.

They all have their merits. What's awesome is we can play 3 (4 really) games with a single collection of models. That's plain rad. Exactly. I can play Space Marine second edition/Titan Legions, Net Epic Gold, or Epic Armageddon, depending on whichever takes my fancy. I prefer Space Marine or Net Ep...

I stick with the rules as they were originally written on this. It's one of the downsides of playing Chaos, but there are plenty of upsides too. If you want to mechanise your Chaos Space Marines, it is, therefore, going to cost you support cards, but it can be worth it, especially to get them into t...

Primarch, thank you for all your efforts and leadership of the project over the years. You've done so much to keep Net Epic alive. I, for one, have appreciated all your efforts.

Magnus, welcome to your new role and congratulations on taking the helm.

Primarch hit the nail on the head for me. I've played Epic Space Marine since second edition and I like the stability offered by Net Epic Gold. I've been one of the most vocal here in wanting to keep it the same and never did see the need for the Platinum version, but it wasn't, and still isn't, for...

I think that it was of GW's better ideas from a marketing perspective, so I'm not surprised that this sold out quickly. The part that I find unconvincing is the lore. Trying to shoehorn certain armies, such as Tyranids and Necrons iinto what is essentially hive gang warfare doesn't work in my opinio...

However, my concern with this attitude is that if everyone adopted this approach, the game will suffer from poor sales and will inevitably end up canned prematurely, with a total lack of developed ranges. Since the game is not aimed at experienced Epic players, the point is moot, however, experienc...

There's never a good time to be hacked, but this coming so soon after the last down time is not great, I agree. Activity was significantly down even before this happened. I'd be surprised if it's the end, but I do expect the site to be down for lengthy period, based on what Wintermute has said.

I also feel that it's not really Epic, rather it's Forgeworld's interpretation of Adeptus Titanicus and Epic. I will certainly not be getting involved with it at all. Resin models do not interest me and nor does a narrow game involving massive war engines and precious little else. I'm more than happ...

This is for netepic, which is a reworking of one of the much older versions versions of epic...

I agree that Wraithguard and Wraithlords are easier to control than Robots. Robots are very restricted in what they can do, and it isn't that easy to snipe Warlocks and/or Farseers, providing you are reasonably careful. As for the costs, if you're unhappy with those, Magnus has pointed you in the ri...

Several points: epic: You keep predicting the demise of GW in almost every contribution you make to this thread. To have an opinion is okay, but to keep repeating it as though it's based on some sort of factual evidence is unconvincing, unless you can actually provide the evidence. Do you have evide...

I'm underwhelmed thus far. It seems like a rehash of the first Dawn of War game, and the Space Marines emerging victorious yet again in the trailer does nothing to engage me. I hope that the trailer is misleading in these respects.
