The way I was justifying my stance was that if my formation was being engaged I would have to move towards the closest enemy which was the Nest and not the Dactylis. As it was the closest enemy the Dactylis should be further away and suppressed.

Joe put me straight.

Sixth game at Britcon mind fart. With a decent amount of sleep, over the jet-lag and head out of holiday mode I can see that I was wrong.

The target formation is the top central formation of Storm Troopers.

Sixth game mind fart, we got it wrong as the Nest can't be suppressed as it doesn't have the ranged shot. D'OH

Conclusion:
BT are too powerful.

In the right match up any army can be overpowering. I'd suggest that you get your opponent to take the same army and have a go with a different list. I'll bet he doesn't like facing up to Necrons with Pylons.

Ouch. That was not an easy match up. If I was playing my Vanaheim I think that I would have had the same result facing that Eldat build. I assume that one of the problems was the small formation size and the disrupt barrage.

So Britcon is over for another year and I am sure that everyone is still trying to recover. A great tournament this year with some very interesting lists. I took some photos, but no notes on the games. Photo 10-08-2018, 19 52 18.jpg Photo 11-08-2018, 09 30 58.jpg Photo 11-08-2018, 09 31 14.jpg Photo...

What we (or maybe just me LOL)need is some cleaver member to make some rules to make the old beetle backs a variant class of knight. L4 I have close to 300 old titans of various classes but will still buy a couple of the new warlords. Some addictions are hard to break. Or working back the other way...

A couple of things - Firstly Rug has been around longer than his RugII status suggests is a good/excellent players that has frustrated me more times than I care to admit and has a good eye for lists. It is my belief that his work on the IG over the past couple of years is an example to all AC. It is...
