Greetings,

I got a copy of the Beta rules from DreamPod 9, and am fixing to give it a try on the tabletop.

Anyone here played it before? If so, any pointers or stiking points I should understand before giving it a go?

Thanks.

Good stuff. I would love a better shot of the flyers in the upper right hand corner.

Don't do it! Soon, you will be able to find them all over the net for free because they will be gone. I got to starter boxes, and extra Zent Artie and Destroid boxes at retail two years ago. I cracked them open, looked at the sprues and never touched them since. Maybe one day I will, but why put mor...

The final battle for the campaign is now up. This one was a Pitched Battle scenario from teh Airspace Compilation, so the victory conditions were a bit off the beaten track. Led to an interesting game. https://bloodandspectacles.blogspot.com/2018/03/battle-report-aeronautica-imperialis.html https://...

Review: Star Wars Miniature Battles- West End Games A long time ago, in a hobby shop far, far away….. As a young lad, I was a typical nerd kid. I liked war gaming and had gotten my start in the Warhammer worlds of Fantasy and Rogue trader. However, I also liked RPGs and played AD&D, Shadowrun, a...

Yup.... Varingyr as in Squats. In my head canon, the Varingyr were often referred to by humans as Squats, but it is a bit of a derogatory term. They prefer to think of themselves as the Children of Varin, or Varingyr. I now have game two under my belt in the campaign. https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-566G...

Heirs to Empire is a game set in the era of the Diadochi. This is the time when Alexander’s generals squabbled over the remains of the Empire after Alexander’s death. This rule set tries to capture the feel of commanding armies in this time period so the scale is an army/battle scale game. That said...

Every year, I try to make a list of Goals I want to accomplish in the following year with my wargaming hobby. It is nothing to intense and helps guide my decisions about money and time as I go through the year. I took a look back at my list, and evaluated my progress in July, and now that it is the ...
